Leh Ladakh tour itinerary from Kolkata

Day 1: Manali to Serchu

On Day 1 of the Manali Leh Ladakh Tour Package 9n/10d, we will pick you up from Manali, which is in Himachal Pradesh, at 9:30 am. Then we will drive through the Atul Tunnel towards Serchu.

Day 2: Check out from Serchu

On Day 2 of the Manali Leh Ladakh Tour Package 9n/10d, we will check out from Serchu. After that, through the Baralacha pass, the Tanglang La pass, and the More plains, we will drive to Leh. We will stay in Leh for a night. 

Day 3: Leh

On Day 3 of the Manali Leh Ladakh Tour Package (9n/10d), after having breakfast, you can rest and acclimate to the weather of the area. Please keep in mind that, since Leh is a high-altitude region, you need to give yourself some time to adjust. This will greatly enhance your travel experience. Therefore, it is suggested that you rest for half a day. After lunch, we will visit the Leh Palace, followed by a tour of the Tsemo Palace and the Shanti Stupa. The Shanti Stupa will provide you with the best view of Leh town, the historic Indus Valley, and the Ladakh and Zanskar ranges.

Day 4: Leh to Nubra

On Day 4 of the Manali Leh Ladakh Tour Package 9n/10d, after breakfast, we will drive towards Nubra Valley via Khardungla. Keep in mind that, situated at a height of 18,380 ft, this is one of the highest motorable roads in the world. On the way, we will visit the famed Diskit Monastery, which is known for offering the best views of the Nubra Valley. Additionally, it is home to the Maitreya Buddha statue.  We will arrive at Hundar in the afternoon, where lunch will be provided at the camp. After that, you are free to explore sites such as Deskit and Hundar village. You can also partake in a camel safari occurring in the dunes between Deskit and Hundar. We will spend the night in the Nubra Valley. 

Day 5: Turtuk Day Excursion

On Day 5 of the Manali Leh Ladakh Tour Package 9n/10d, after having breakfast, we will drive to Turtuk Village. It will only be a 3-hour drive. This village, which was once a part of Pakistan, was claimed by India after the Indo-Pak war of 1971. After a day of exploring, we will drive back to Hundar (80 km away) and stay there for a night. Day 6: Nubra to Pangong

On Day 6 of the Manali Leh Ladakh Tour Package 9n/10d, after breakfast, we will drive to Pangong Lake via the Shayok River Route. Upon reaching Pangong Lake, you will witness the highest saltwater lake in the world, which is shared between India and China. We will spend the night in a camp near the lake.

Day 7: Pangong to Leh

On Day 7 of the Manali Leh Ladakh Tour Package 9n/10d, we will return from Pangong Lake. On the way, we will pay a visit to the Thiksey Monastery. This is an impressive structure that is located on a hill. Appearance-wise, it resembles the Potala Palace of Tibet. Additionally, we will also visit the Shey Palace & Monastery, which was the seat of the ancient capital of Ladakh. You can have the evening for exploring and shopping in the Leh Bazar. 

Day 8: Leh to Kargil

On Day 8 of the Manali Leh Ladakh Tour Package 9n/10d, you will need to have an early breakfast as we will be leaving for Kargil. On the way, you can get glimpses of the Sham Valley, Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Pather Saheb and the Indus-Zanskar river confluence of Lamayuru. Additionally, you can also enjoy the stunning views of the Moon Landscape. After having lunch at Khaltse, we will leave for Kargil. Please remember that you have to pay for lunch. In Kargil, we will visit the Mulbekh Statue and the Giant Living Buddha Statue. We will stay for a night in Kargil. 

Day 9: Kargil to Srinagar ( Jammu& Kashmir)

On Day 9 of the Manali Leh Ladakh Tour Package 9n/10d, we will leave for Srinagar through the Zoji La Pass. On the way, you will get to see many beauties such as the Dras village, which is the second coldest inhabited place on earth. You can also see the Tiger Hill, which lies at a distance of 200km. The drop-off will be at the Srinagar Hotel, where you will stay overnight.  

Day 10: Return

  • Take rest and Acclimatise: As suggested earlier, Leh is situated at a high altitude. Its climate is wildly different from the rest of mainland India. Therefore, take a rest for half a day, or else you will fall sick.   
  • Keep the climate in mind: Pack wisely. Carry your woollens, hiking shoes, electronics, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a good quality backpack. 
  • Stay hydrated: High-altitude regions mean that you are bound to be dehydrated after long rides. Therefore, carry a water bottle with you at all times.
